Building Paths, Building Community: Trail Service Volunteering with CORA
October 10th
9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Tower Park
The weather may be cooling, but our volunteering isn’t!
Come join the Cincinnati LPC as we give back to our community by helping Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance (CORA) build and maintain the trail networks in NKY at Tower Park! CORA maintains over 120 miles of multi-use natural surface trails serving mountain bikers, hikers, trail runners, and adaptive users in the Greater Cincinnati region, helping our community stay vibrant and increasing walkability in our neighborhoods.
Work will include trail maintenance, repairing ruts, replacing broken beams, removing the scourge of honeysuckle, and more opportunities for some hands-on activity! No experience required, CORA will provide guides to help participants with all tasks.
Family and friends ages 12+ (with accompanying guardian) are welcome!
Reminders:
- wear appropriate work gear for digging, cutting trees/bushes, and other outdoor activities
- Bring a water bottle
- Bring sunscreen
- Wear close-toed shoes (boots preferrable)
We will have a back-up date of 10/24 in case of weather. Participants will receive an email from either the ACHE or CORA coordinator ahead of the 10/10 date if it is rescheduled.
